Delphi
Delphi was considered as the center of the world by the Greeks (Omphalos). It occupies an impressive site on the south-western side of Mount Parnassus overlooking the coastal plain to the south and the valley of Phocis. Today it is an extensive archaeological site and the modern town is located nearby.
